Dr. Mike Feeney, PhD

Dr. Feeney is a Licensed Psychologist specializing in youth and family care for challenging behaviors and trauma. With a clinical psychology doctorate from East Tennessee State University and postdoctoral work at VCU Medical Center, he has a decade of experience across diverse settings, from wilderness programs to medical environments. His expertise includes psychological assessment, treatment planning, risk evaluation, and research on relationships and self-identity. Dr. Feeney employs evidence-based approaches like TF-CBT, DBT, and Family Systems Therapy, focusing on fostering connections and positive change. He contributes to Equinox with a commitment to holistic, experiential, and evidence-based care. Outside work, he enjoys cooking, running, mountain biking, guitar playing, and fishing.
